Why do RVs need special attention to their brakes and weight?

Because an RV is far heavier than a regular vehicle, its brakes and load handling carry a much bigger job. That extra weight means longer stopping distances and more strain on the braking system, and an improperly loaded RV can wear tires and stress the suspension unevenly. Bring your RV to Boeser Automotive in Savage and we'll make sure its brakes and setup are ready for the weight it carries.

Why does my RV need maintenance if I barely drive it?

Even an RV that mostly sits still needs upkeep, because time affects it as much as mileage. Fluids break down, seals and gaskets dry out, batteries discharge, and tires age regardless of distance driven, so a parked RV can quietly develop problems. The expert team at Boeser Automotive can keep yours in good shape so it's ready whenever you are, not surprising you the week before a trip.

How should I get my RV ready before storing it or after it's been parked a while?

Before storage, it helps to change the oil, top off fluids, and make sure the tires and battery are in good shape so nothing degrades while it sits. Coming out of storage, it's worth checking those same systems plus brakes and belts before you head out. Our hours are Mon-Fri: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM | Sat-Sun: Closed, so bring your RV to Boeser Automotive and we'll get it trip-ready either way.

This 4th valve in the serial valves. Shows very excessive wear. Hydraulic pressure is almost nonexistent inside the transmission. This is usually the case when somebody drives the vehicle until it doesn’t move anymore.

Looking at this 3rd valve in a series of valves. We find that the wear is starting to get a little more excessive. We are starting to experience a larger pressure loss in many aspects of the transmission.

The second valve illustrates slight wear on the pressure regulator valve causing low line pressure. At this stage of the game, you’re starting to feel a shudder when applying.
